Has anyone tested a Scuderia's engine output on a chassis dyno? With a claimed 510 crank HP I would hope to see approx 440rwhp on a Dynojet.
You can get exactly the HP (at flywheel or crank) that you want by dividing the dyno'd rear wheel HP by a 'drive train loss' factor you think is correct. Problem is, no one knows what the true 'drive train loss' is. It's all guesswork, meaning you can manipulate the 'drive train loss' factor any way you want (up or down) to get exactly the kind of HP that makes you feel happy. In other words, its meaningless. The only meaning of dyno'd HP is the 'rear wheel HP' measure that can then be used as a baseline, against which to assess the value-added of additional modifications.
Uh huh, but with the Dynojet or other known dyno one can compare the output to other cars that have been tested with the same machine. A 2006+ "505hp" Z06 typically shows 440rwhp on a Dynojet. Curious to know where the Scud falls.
