Yes P4/5 would look great after running for 24h somewhere in the middle of France !
The 24 of Nurburgring is where that one picked up her patina...
If this happens, and while we're preceding step by step we still have a long road to travel, that's where this adventure may begin.
Major Sponsors please get in touch.
Exciting! Thanks for keeping us up-to-date Jim. Looking forward to her going round a track soon.
taking applications for co-drivers yet? I have a helmet and everything
Any headway with major sponsors yet?
We're still getting our package together.
I still race go karts! Co-Drivers??
Jim, would a race version of the P4/5 be a conversion, or be built on a whole new chassis?
Whole new car.
This sounds like an awesome project! Hope it gets off the ground!
Based on an Enzo chassis/motor? Or new in every aspect?
Details are being finalised. More information soon.
So Jim is your avatar a rough idea of what P 4/5 Competizione would look like?
Very Rough. We're still working out the details and should have an image and specifications in a few weeks.
Possibly ready to race for 2010?
I think we've figured out the chassis/engine/gearbox. I should have a sketch and specifications soon.
Hope U R Well!
This is monumental!
We still need a big sponsor but I'm hopeful as I think Ferrari P 4/5 Competizione would get a lot of exposure for a sponsor.
We're hoping to begin at the 24 of Nürburgring next year.
Are you gearing towards any type of sponsor, or just basically anyone with the cash?
We're looking for one major sponsor. That race gets 250k spectators and a lot of TV. In addition we could do other races and when her racing days are over we'd keep her in that livery and she'd go to a lot of events. There'd be a lot exposure and it's not going to cost Crazy money.
This effort would be like something NART would have done in the Day.
Great news Jim.
How much is being done in house?
We will set up a Race Team which will build and race the car. We will of course use specialists for various components.
Wishing you the best as this is how I fondly imagine the glory years of racing before my time.... privateers, autos of beauty, purpose, and men with gumption. Godspeed.
I've been trying to catch up since I realised there was a P4/5 thread on here... it's quite long (119 pages so far!) but a pretty good read! Not even close to getting through it all yet... we need a 'highlights' page.
I share sentiments - good luck Jim!!
All the best,
