The only thing I want to know is....HOW THE HELL did I miss this thread and all the buzz about this car until just now!!?? I guess I need to get out a little more huh? Looks like this will be a fun project.....once again! Thanks for sharing Jim!!
Not race legal at the 24 of Nurburgring as they have carbon fiber tub and at the ring wouldn't be competitive as V12 is too fuel inefficient and with long laps would require more pit stops. Our Race mechanicals will be F430 GT2 which are very race proven and suited for the 24 of the Ring. Best
Checked out a lot of race cars at Pebble. Got some good ideas. Saw some of our Competion. MB Porsche Lexus Lotus Audi Aston I think this will be a very cool race.
This will be a great year for motorsports, it's as if the planets have aligned to bring us great cars from many manufacturers to one race.
You did? I saw a lot of racecars at Laguna Seca but barely any at Pebble Beach, which greatly disappointed me.
At Pebble there were a number of 24 Hour of Nurburgring cars that have recently raced there and or will race against us in 2011. MB GT3 Porsche GT3 Hybrid Lotus GT4 Lexus LFA Aston Rapide On the Lawn I saw a 250 LM, Comp NART Daytona and many wonderful Comp Alfa's. Nesxt year we'll bring P 4/5 Competizione.
Bumped that thread over on realraptalk, more views the better right? Anywho thanks for the updates the more pictures the better, we're all waiting for this to be competed just as much as you are
The Engineer from LM Gianetti is in NY checking out P 4/5 and her tooling. Image Unavailable, Please Login
my vote, fwiw, is to paint it red just like the original, slap the ny license plates on it, and some numbers, and minimal sponsorship, and run as if you just drove it there from long island. stun factor would be mega. just like you show it on page 52
I'm leaning that way too but am still thinking. I do like these NART stripes. Image Unavailable, Please Login
what if you did a single white stripe like on the fxx. i like how it gets wider as it goes back more on the car http://cdn-www.rsportscars.com/images/ferrari/2005-ferrari-fxx/ferrari_fxx2_1600.jpg and just outline the white in a small (say 1/2" to 1") blue border or you could even go with the white offset circle http://images.forum-auto.com/mesimages/640022/Ferrari_330_P3.jpg and Blue numbers
Interesting where this showed up... http://www.lemans.org/fr/actualites/Une-nouvelle-Ferrari-P4-5-en-preparation_1458.html
Red with NART stripes looks nice. However since she will be run by an American team, why not white body with blue undercarriage and blue stripe? Ala NART Ferrari 158.
