Hello, I am very fortunate to have a Scuderia since shortly ... It is difficult to use this car on the road with all the police. I want to make the circuit with my Scuderia. I need your help! Here are the changes that I make on my car to the circuit safely, seat belts 6 points, real Recaro seats (which I had on other racing cars), replace the ceramic brakes and a steel kit use slick (or Pirreli Hossier). They told me I needed to brake scoops Challenge for better longevity of the brakes. Looking for figures chassis settings (frame height, camber ...)! Can you help me?? I have a great experiance of the race, especially in endurance (24h Dubai, 24h of Spa, 24h Zolder, 25 hours of Thunderhill, 12h Hongary, 12h Abu Dhabi ... I rode on many race cars (especially Porsche), but not driving a Ferrari ... I still have a lot to learn. I'm sorry my English is not good ... Again thank you for your help. JC
It is not possible on our forum ... Nobody really uses his Scuderia on track! Everybody rolls with stock settings for cars? People made changes to its suspension ...
Make sure you post picts of your car at the track. I'm so glad to see somebody is finally taking their car to the track (not like I'm one to talk)
Thank you for your picture! The establishment of a true Scuderia is on a track. I looked carefully at the Forum and I think I found a good part of the information I looked ... Now I have to work on my car for better adaptation to intensive track use. Last week I was at Watkins Glen with the GT3 RS (my time was 2'05), I hope many go faster with my Scuderia ... Thank you for using the Forum brings, I will share with you the evolution of my Scuderia. again thank you
Enjoy your Scud on the track, I'm sure you will have a lot of fun with it. And I seriously hope that you will be faster with the Scud then with the GT3 RS. Between the two of us - this is a must! ;-)
For now, I focus on my next race ... I have to be contacted yesterday) by a team to participate next week in the 24 Hours of Spa Francorchamps! We are negotiating .... I hope it will be OK! I'm taking a lot of fun driving my Scuderia on track. I look forward
What tracks have you run with the Scuderia so far? tires? lap times? this is a good start to see the ideal settings. Scuderia and slicks don't go together without major suspension work, otherwise you'll be running springs and bump stops, with shocks as ornaments.
F430 GT For the moment, I have not been on track with my Scuderia. I'm not sure that there is a great interest to go with a car all original. That is why I am looking for information. - I'm looking for extra wheels (two solutions) or I found four original wheels or I invested in the kit rims Challenge (I love kit and look). - I want to replace the original brakes (carbon) by a steel brake kit. - I read that it was necessary to brake scoops challenge on the Scuderia - The height of the frame in the U.S. is much higher than the original (Europe), 3/4 inches. I thought I put the spec in Europe. - I am also looking for a good base setting circuit I will personalize after a few days of testing. - For tires, I do not know yet what I'll use ... Pirelli or Hoosier R100 I do not know the behavior of these two tires. On my GT3 RS, I use Michelin GT3 CUP N1 - I'm installing real Recaro racing seat with 6-point harness. - I read that the original suspensions are too soft for hard track use. I also seek information. In the U.S., I ride at Watkins Glen, NJMP, I'd go to VIR. In Canada, traveling at Mosport, Mont Tremblant and Calabogie. But I am open to all proposals for testing! I can give a lot of advice to an owner of Porsche GT3 to run track, but I need to find out all about the Ferrari. Thank you all for your comments
If you are going to drive your F360, F430, Scuderia, or 16M on the track our longer Challenge shift paddles are a must have item. The longer paddles are factory fit by Ferrari on the Challenge race cars and allow for much more freedom to access the gear change on both the road and track. We made the following video to help illustrate the advantages: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=MwXQA6EkKuc We are official technical partners to the FXDD Ferrari Grand AM GT race team winning the 2012 Championship and finishing on the Podium at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2013 with our Challenge paddles fitted to their cars. ^ Just ordered a set of these. I think they are a must have for a Scud if driven at the track or twisty canyon road rallies.
Looking forward to your experiences and feedback. I am preparing my 16M for some limited HPDE track days and track touring sessions as well. I went with another set of used OEM Scud wheels. Current plan is to use Pirelli Trofeo R tires at the track and Michelin Pilot Super Sports for street. Trofeo R fronts in 245/35/19 size and PSS fronts in 235/35/19. Rears 285/35/19 on both sets. Changed brake pads to Pagid RSC1. Brake fluid flush with ProSpeed 683. I am going to change alignment settings and lower car by 10 mm but otherwise leave the stock suspension components and springs as they are. The seats are so beautiful in my 16M so they will stay, but a dedicated race seat and 6 point would definitely help to feel the car on the track. At some point, probably a different exhaust system, ECU program, and high flow air filters. Keep us posted on your Scud project and good luck with your possible new ride!
The OP is smart. The best way to actually get people to post pictures of their Scuds at the track is to make the statement that no one takes their Scuds to the track. Works every time.
