Wow check out those waves!
Well, you have to give people the opportunity to fix an error before you go making waves (pun intended). Unfortunately I have been waiting for a response on the F50 fuel tanks since early this year, my patience won't be anywhere near the same concerning the GT items. As Aircon is find of saying, sometimes the worst thing about owning these things is the people you have to deal with.
The red is holding up ok; but it's early days. The type of leather is supposedly designed to develop patination with use, I will see how this goes. So far it's just a matter of diligently keeping the leather clean.
that is why I keep getting BMWs, the service is second to none .... you point something out and they just fix it immediately
I agree; but after something like 15 years of BMW's I just wanted something different. As an aside, I have never driven a car that causes so much positive reaction from pretty much everybody; but notably young women. I have been driving Ferraris for over 20 years and if you get a reaction, it is often negative. The Maserati just seems to stop people in their tracks and they go out of their way to ask you about it, and it's not the standard- how much does it cost, how fast does it go, what do you do type irritations that I get with F-cars. I think it might be because a) nobody knows what it is b) It is quite beautiful and elegant without being perceived as arrogant? I am not sure; but the difference is very obvious. Interesting.
360C, that is a knockout combo. I'm hugely partial to red leather so that helps. Also, I'm pleased to hear that the car is attracting young women. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Edit: In Italy, that is not a small boot.
verde ithaca, started to get dismantled today, after it was ment to start mid feb will post pics of the journey on another forum, where i won't have to put up with the usual BS remarks.
How's the dog-cock-red interior? I assume it's pretty easy to live with - the few cars I've been in with full-on colours inside you got used to within an hour and enjoyed within two.
360C, your Masser is really a thing of beauty! Curious though, was an AM Vantage even considered prior to this? If so, why did you choose the Masser over the AM, they're of the same price range and category, aren't they? Congrats!
I can answer that easily- 4 adult sized seats Vs 2 seats. At the time I ordered the GT, the rest of the cars in the garage were 2 seaters, so I had to have something with 4 seats for practicality. Then there was the Italian vs English thing, I am not an English car fan generally.
It's personal taste I suppose. This is the exact spec that they used in the brochure and the original Geneva show release i.e. it works and will be better resale than the spec I originally wanted; but couldn't get. It was also $40k cheaper than that spec; but I digress...... I am fond of brighter colours as anyone who can recall the interior of my 360 Modena would know. I have seen the bordeaux with silver next to my car in the workshop getting pre delivered at the same time. It looked a bit "dull and lifeless" by comparison. I don't get tired of it at all; but I can see how others might.
