I just signed a flip agreement on my F430 Spider. I paid MSRP in cash for the car but signed an agreement that allows the dealer on the pink slip in CA. I cannot sell the car without them signing it off. It basically states if I sell it before the time is up they can buy the car back at MSRP minus taxes and fees or Market value, whichever is LESS. It even goes on to state that they realize the car is worth more then MSRP and that you know this and if you decide to sell it they have the right to that profit. There was no requirement to lease or finance the car.

I just randomly called a dealer in IL and they openly said that they are happy to get me a new car at $50K over list. I asked if Ferrari is OK with that and they said, "perfectly."

    Best,
