Anyone have any insight into the planned production volumes for the 430 Scuderia? Was recently told by my dealer that it will be offered beyond the 2008 model year, possibly for the remaining years that the 430 is produced? Just wondering if the exclusivity will remain in tact for this car.
These are just educated guesses: If we assume an annual production of 6,500 cars a year and that 80% of production are F430 coupe/F430 spyder/F430 scuderia, then 5,200 are some variant of F430. I think that Ferrari would want to recoup costs for the Scud by selling a greater percentage especially if the model timeline will end in 2010. So maybe 2,200- 2,400 cars per year. Just my guesswork!
Scuderia is low production car a la Challenge Stradale. it will run from 2008 to 2009. 2009 will bring the introduction of the F430 successor with a few outputs delivered late in the year. Scud will run in similar #'s to the Stradale. my local dealer is getting 5-6 this year and the same for 09. based on these #'s i would imagine the total US output will be roughly 400-500. hope this helps
This is similar to what my dealer told me. The Scud will be produced for 2008 & 2009. US numbers will be 350-450.
Probably just the timing, but when on the factory tour, I would guess about 25% were scuderias (which surprised me as this seemed more than I would have guessed for numbers) Never asked however for exact numbers when there. My guess is it's going to be less exclusive than the CS.
When CS was introduced, the assembly line was filled with just that one model too. It does not mean anything.....
Australia is getting a total of 40 Scuderia. My dealer gets 7 this year and 7 next year. I was told a world production of about 1500 in total over a 2 year period.
Not correct. My dealer, which has been right about everything regarding new models, Scud release date and so on told me about 1.400 Scuds will be made. No exact limit is set. This info is straight from the factory at a Pilota Ferrari course. That´s about 10 % more then the CS production.
I have no idea what the numbers will be. However, considering there might be a 2 year run?????? why wouldnt they produce more scuds than CS'? Considering the success of the CS, it would be foolish of Ferrari to not capitalize on the profit potential. Starting with the 360 generation, the entry level 8 cylinder ceased to be a low production car. -Peter Oh
They are other threads on this which accurately something in the order of 3000+ global incl 16M's, the Scud was NOT a low volume item
Another bump for some accurate numbers. The curiosity is killing me as the guesses are all over the place.
