Thought I'd update this with thoughts as we go along. 5/11 Newark->San Fran $330 rount trip. Such a deal! Ship car via covered carrrier...avg $2k each way If the car goes, I'm thinking 5/11 Newark ->San Fran 5/12->5/14 Scuderia Rampage 5/15 drive PCH South with an overnight stay in Monterey, 5/16 continue PCH South to LA. Hit up a few friends {knock}{knock}"Hi Kerri. Can Emil come out & play?" 5/17 Los Angeles->Newark no change in airfare. no change in car transport costs. Also interesting is a twist on the theme Newark -> Vegas $135 (package deals leave Newark w air & hotel for 3 days for about $150) Vegas to LA & visit some friends LA up the PCH to Monterey Monterey to Sonoma Scuderia Rampage San Fran to Newark $328 If anybody has hook-ups or suggestions, please shout!
Will be in Italy for my aunt's 95th birthday, but I would come otherwise. Actually, I would relish the drive out and back - I figure that $4500 would cover the repairs from 6k worth of driving, gas and speeding tickets.
