My 288GTO shield broke when theytook it off to repair the front fender that had a crack in th epaint. I orderd one from ferrari (FNA says there is no other,if I dont want this one I should send it back fro a refund and good luck.

So, either I have to bend slightly the new shield...DOES ANYONE KNOE HOW TO , OR HAVE DONE IT BEFORE OR COMMENTS? Or, DOES ANYONE KNOW SOMEONE WHO COULD REPAIR THE YELLOW part of the emblem, whichk fits perfectly, but cracked when it was removed.?

    Thank you, in advance,

    Carlo

    Carlo,

I suggest repairing the original unit, and my reasoning is two-fold:

Firstly then you'll still have the original unit.

Secondly, it obviously fits perfectly, as originally bonded with the curvaceous 288 GTO front fender.

The yellow part of the emblem is a colored enamel composite of sorts and perhaps you can get a company or small firm that specializes in enamel, ceramic or porcelain (or similar) repair, and you should be back in business!

At least that the path I would take.

Where's Dave Helms...? That guy knows everything... He probably teaches a weekend course on remedying arcane situations like this.
