The Ferrari branded iPod is a cool idea. I predict that these will be their best seller in aftermarket parts. Not only do they become obsolete every 9-12 months, but every kid walking by one on the street will want to steal it
Can anyone confirm the details on the roof? Is it the same one as the standard 430 Spider (folding) or is it removable like a 550 Barchetta?
roof should at least be manual operation with carbon frame. roll hoops should be different than regular spider as well since it is a track car. i know it will be heavier and less stiff than coupe but still more fun to drive. like a like a 1970's can am ferrari. ps ferrari is the only company that can put badges all over a car and have it be cool. love it and would pay the enzo type sticker it will command if i could
The Scud Spider site's officially up. I didn't find this posted in other threads, so here it is if you hadn't come across it yet: http://www.ferrariworld.com/events/ss16m/index.html?language=it There's a color on this site that I hadn't heard of before: Grigio Opaco. I've seen Scuds come in that color, but are base F430s available in that color? Enjoy
As I stated earlier, I think the car is absolutely stunning. The only thing that leaves me a bit cold are the new rims. They look like they came out of a German tuner...
i think it looks very good. but the older scuderia stipes looked much better, same with the rims too. i think incorporating the iphone is a nice touch. maybe now people will see that it wasnt meant as a track car (that's the 430 challenge). but just a faster 430.
Hi will the scud carbrio, been a limited run of 499 hold its value in the medium term ?? I'm sure they'll go over list now but what will happen in the a couple of years down the line when the replacemetn 430 is launched. Its hard to gauge as there was no stradale cabrio.... Discuss....
No hi-res images of the rear plaque and new fender emblems yet? Fantastic looking vehicle with the livery!
The five-spoke rims are not all that great. As a matter in fact, they remind me of the cheap knock-offs that people building 355 replicas use. Otherwise, the car is staggering - as expected.
I saw the car on Sunday at Mugello, and I'm not really sure if I see the point of the Scuderia Spider. And the "16M" badges look like stuck on afterthoughts. Sorry if that disagrees with you all.
Hi RTB. Happy to get your views. For me it is simple - I love the feeling of the Scud. But I also like Spiders. Can't imagine going back to a 430 Spider (3 year old technology) after experiencing the sensory overload of a Scud. It is a dream come true to have a sharp tool Spider. 16M is the ultimate poser car but that's cool. Going out for dinner with my wife (who says hello to you) and taking the long route in nice weather is sheer heaven in a Spider. 16M also has good stereo available and that is a crucial element in a Poseria. I really loved my CGT with the top off Agree that all of the 16M badges are a bit much
DM, if I ever come to Hong Kong, you have to give me a ride! BTW are you doing white on white like your current scud???
No problem. I am thinking Rosso Corsa. I will probably keep the 16M for quite a long time and rosso corsa is a colour that I just never get tired of. Mrs. DM18 and I were looking at all of the pictures in the ferrari website and as of now (it could change tomorrow) we liked the red the best followed by the yellow.
