Don't blame FNA on this one, until recently there were no US DOT legal harnesses......none. That's why they, along with the Lexan side windows, were not available on the US Challenge Stradale. With DOT Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 209 you can now buy legal restraint harness systems.
The Stradale harnesses were not terribly robust IMO. I wonder if the Scuderia harnesses will be more like proper racing harnesses.
wow.. the stripe must be made of carbon fiber since it cost the same as the carbon fiber engine cover!
Hahahaha, 7200 $ for the racestripes... Hahaha Ferrari... But they know people will buy, so I guess they can charge whatever they want and still get away with it.....
actual at 230k for a stripped model isnt bad, esp given how it can keep up with an Enzo on the track and given how some 430 spiders are coming in over 250k msrp
Like most Ferraris, the base price is reasonable. It's the options that murder you. $230,000 is $20,000 LESS than a Gallardo Superleggera.
Higher CDN prices does not seem to be much of a deterent when the boys (Nikka?) will pony up an extra $75,000.00 just to make sure they are on top of the list. Did they draw straws to see who gets stuck in the number 3 slot and still had to pay the $75,000.00? Maybe it's tax deductable... CH
Keep in mind the Scuderia stripes are executed in paint. That's a fairly intensive process (masking, clear coat, etc.).
Fact? It was widely believed, even by some dealers, that the Challenge Stradale stripe was paint......and it is not.
