I'm hearing Ferrari is forcing customers to take navigation with their Scuderias. I don't know if it is "free" or the $4700 option. Base price has been raised to $282K.

A friend of mine was in the dealer showroom and the salesman was on the phone with a Scuderia customer. New base price is kind of old news but the navi is new to me.

The standard no-cost radio comes with Nav and Bluetooth. I think it can be deleted but you don't get a credit.

This is just the start. I've heard from reliable sources that many of the carbon options will be made standard, and the new MSRP will be close to $350k.

No, the US Carbon (CEXU) package will be included in the 282k base price. The US Carbon package includes the door sills, rear diffuser, and front.

    Gary,
Supposedly the new base price ($282K) includes the carbon options. The CEXU package includes the rear carbon diffusor, carbon door sills, and the carbon front splitter. If my car comes in and the price is anywhere near $350K they can keep it.

I'm told that they just increased the price due to the fact that the c/f rear diffuser is now standard. I believe that adds another $16 - $20k. :(

It is true. The NAVC option is now standard in North America and you cannot delete the radio. Previously, the BLUC option was standard. It didn't have the navi.

Where are you guys getting your information? I thought the US MSRP a couple of months ago was already up significantly from the original $262K base price and the "required options" to get it up to that amount were the radio, bluetooth, LED steering wheel, fully trimmed boot, etc. Now a carbon package is rumored to be standard with the big 3 CF options worth around $20K and the base price is not near or above $300K, but $282K?

If you've ordered a scud, can you please confirm? Please send me a PM.

I'm watching this with much interest because my order is in Canada. Base car specs in the US generally are the same here in Canada but we pay a little bit more.

I ordered my Scud (October delivery) on Friday, June 20. I can confirm the CEXU package and the 282k price. The price is not on my VOM order, but I was told by the dealer that the base would be 282k after July 1. They were not clear whether it pertained to orders after July 1, or cars manufactured after July 1.

Part of this is true...the HiFi with navi is standard, but the carbon options have been made into one package (US carbon package). We ordered our scuderia pretty much full option, sans the spare tire...came out to about $293K

I believe that they are forcing the CF parts as standard due to the fact that nobody opted for the $15k optional rear CF diffuser since the launch of the Scud, and the factory probably has a load of these diffusers in their parts warehouse!

Ferrari is getting worse by the year, with these "forced" options getting stuffed down customers' throats, wrong orders, less exclusivity (California)

Not that they didn't opt for it, you couldn't get it. Ferrari could not get the CF pieces from their supplier. It appears that has changed now and they have an abundance of parts so everyone will be forced to take them.

All of this MSRP discussion is interesting. I am trying to help a friend, and current 2007 F430 owner find a Scuderia to add to his stable. Is it possible to get on a list to order? I thought that I read somewhere that someone recently ordered in June for October delivery?

Any suggestions on dealerships or how to proceed?

not to sound crass but there really isn't a list to get on for the Scuderia. limited edition Ferrari's usually go to the creme de la creme clients of the dealers, especially here in the US. in some cases, the dealers decide who is granted an allocation. chances are if your friend has not received such a call from your local dealer, then the used car market is your friend....this car has been sold out for quite a while!

chances are someone spec'd their car in June for October delivery had their allocation come through!

Sorry, slim and none are your friend's chances for a Scud at MSRP.
