There is a SD2 possibly for sale in Italy. Everything needed to run the entire system is included except for the computer which needs windows. Although it may be considered out dated by newer testers, the SD2 can still read up to the 575 and 430 (for certain parameters on 430). Below is what is included. PM if interested.

    -SD2
    -install CDs
    -3-rs232 to SD2 cables
    -Port key
    -SD2 case and bag
    -2 OBII port cables
    -serial port cable
    -power cable

I know it's out of my price range; but I'm still interested in learning what something like this costs.

My understanding is that Ferrari no longer supports the SD-2.

What happens when it no longer works?

10K - A lot less than we paid for it in 2005. Works perfectly.

I would love to have an SD2, and have wanted one for years. But for a DIY owner, $10K doesn't make sense. We sell OEM MB Star tools for +-$3500, which is kind of the limit that most DIY owners are willing to step up for.

I've even talked to 5 local Ferrari owners about chipping in and doing it as a group, but no takers. If you are so inclined as to tackle some work yourself, the SD2 is an invaluable asset.
