If a car shows 10,000 miles on the clock, and an SD2 printout is generated, shouldn't it indicate that the total km driven is about 16,000 km? I've seen a couple of SD2 reports where the total km reported doesn't appear to match the miles on the clock. Strange.
With the SD@ you can change the last 3 digits of the odometer maxium 3 times before it will lock you out and wont be able to change mileage again.
But even if the last three digits are rolled back three times, shouldn't the odometer reading (in miles) still align with the SD2 reading (in km)? In other words, if a car with 11,500 miles is "rolled back" to 10,000 miles, wouldn't the SD2 printout roll back from 18,400km to 16,000km? I'm a little bit confused as to how the odometer (in miles) and the SD2 printout (in km) can disagree with each other regardless of whether or not a "roll back" has occurred. I'm obviously missing the point.
Come on guys, somebody must know the answer. Bottom line, if the SD2 is used to roll back the odometer, don't the "after the fact" odometer and SD2 readings still agree with each other, or do they become out of step with one another?
