I sell used Ferrari's in Alberta, Canada. I would like to start a service department and would like to have all the special equipment including the SD2. Any advise where to start?

Getting the SD2 is only part of the obstacle. The mobile unit is only really an extension of a PC version with much more capability and user friendliness. Then, as with all things Ferrari, there are several software updates that are essential for correct diagnosis and adjustments, and they keep on coming too.....

Basically, if you do not have the proper access to regular software updates for all models, you really are better off subbing any SD2 work to a dealer and limit their expenditure to diagnosis and reports.

Any specialist claiming to offer SD2 diagnosis, without official dealer backing and approval should be avoided, as they are not giving your car current and correct servicing.

I use my local dealer in this way to my and my customers satisfaction.

Any professional race team with a 360GT can order a special racecar version of SD2 which can do clutch, gearbox, engine ecu, abs and dash only. It's about 2500 euro.

Talk to Dennis McCann. SD2 software updates are not hard to get and with current software the SD2 will function as an SD1 also. The trick is knowing how to use it. The manual is useless, it will take a fair bit of guided experience as well as experimentation to begin to get a handle on it. Good luck in helping to break Ferrari's monopoly.

Yeah i did, check post #4 again.

No, I can't get you one. I don't own a car, and I'd rather pay the dealer for all the current info anyway. Dealers are not all bad... a bit like Rottweilers, just keep 'em on a short leash and they're quite friendly i find.....
