I have a 456 2.7 motronic and am getting a new sportcat setup made from Fabspeed. My current OEM units have been previously gutted and are now leaking at the shrouds. I do have stock Thermocouples which I assume work, but have no idea if once a High flow Cat is back in place if they will continue to function.

I just learned that the 456 uses a narrower probe than the 550/575 and what I assume also the 355/360, so I can’t simply replace with the Telestrada units, as they don’t bolt in.

It got me thinking to have Fabspeed make the Bung with the larger piece and start fresh with new probes. I just want to know if anyone knows the size and thread pitch and if it’s a common size. Or perhaps if it can be installed and I can make an adapter to still use my 456 units currently on the car, but be able to upgrade in the future.

    Thanks

F355 is standard M10x1 compression fitting as I recall.

    Thanks guys…

I measured my 456 exhaust ports this morning and can confirm they use an M8x1.0 fitting The interior dimensions are under 4mm for the probe to pass through and the probe is only about 3.2mm in diameter.

I think I will assure they use an M10 bung for ease of future use and see if I can find a step down piece or swap them out
