Folks are always looking for stuff to do car related and fun and i was working on putting together a schedule of events I am planning on doing through the end of the year so I figured I would post it here so you guys can get an idea of whats out there.

Also, to learn more about upcoming events... here are some links:

My company, Sportscar Garage LLC, sponsors a motorsports team (of coarse American Republic Mortgage also sponsors Sportscar Garage Motorsports). The Motorsports includes a new club I am putting together.... The Classic Drivers club. This club will focus on bringing together fanatics of older vintage and classic sportscars for fun and for driving our cars. Go here to get an overview of the concept.... but remember this website is WAY overdue for updating!

I am hoping to get the website updated over the next month or so and to get the inaugeral meeting for the CDC setup. One of the purposes of this club will be to promote a means of getting our wives and significant others involved in our car activities in a way they will enjoy and look forward too so we can use the positive mental outlook instilled by the club to get away with all sorts of car related financial insanity without risking divorce. So, this means we will integrate our car fun into nice picnics, dinners at nice restaraunts, evening events such as concerts or theatre.... you get the idea.

Anyhow, more on all that later.

I am all for having nicer events to involve my wife in. When I first joined the FCA in the early 90s, John and Carol Apen used to schedule a lot of nice events each year including rallys with your spouse as the navigator, semi-formal dinners and overnight stays in places like Ashville along with track and concour events that my wife loved. After he stepped down, the activities seemed to deterioate to mostly track events and the rare country drive.
