Well I am in Vegas today. The end of the great Gold Rush Rally that started in Seattle, to Portland, to San Fran, to LA and here to Las Vegas. The group of cars had a temendous showing of Lamborghini's.

I started out to take my 2001 Diablo 6.0 Ballon White car..but after the first few hours, chnaged my mind and switched it up.

I quickly back tracked home, about an hour and half and swaped all my gear into my 1994 SE30 #8 car. I have never driven the car more than about 20-30 miles a day, so I wanted to really put it to the test.

I can say after almost 1800 miles, it was a DREAM car of a ride. Not one single issue at all. Great gas miliage LOL and drove flawlessly. The front bumper is still in one full piece...which everyone told me it would scrap every where..did not happen. The A/C blew ice cold in Cali and not an issue in the Vegas hot weather.

This car just pulls so strong and had no issue hanging in the 130-150MPH with the best of them. The interior was as well very comfy for me..the large center arm rest was very nice for relaxing and I just could not be happier.

Staying a day in LV to un-wind..then flying home. Kevin will pick up the car, as well as my 2001 Diablo SE #19, that my son and daughter operated the entire way on the rally...flawlessly as well...oh and just hit 40K miles on that car with still the OEM clutch!! Just another perfect operating 6.0.

Pics to come, I am not good at loading them on my lap-top.

I would love to have an SE30, for me it's the most aggressive and most beautiful looking Diablo. It would be nice to have a comparison of your thoughts on how the SE30 compares to the Jota or even the 6.0 Diablo. Any comfort issues on such a long run?

I look forward to seeing the photos.

SE30 or not SE30? I am still on the fence ... It kills me ...

The only thing I am sure is that it will be a 2wd Diablo.

But I am also considering buying a less expensive early 2wd and getting also a Countach ...

    What do you think guys?

Roy, I will be less busy in debut of July, I think I will visit you? Will you be at Everett?

I must say I was skeptical at first to take the SE30...but I wanted to run it threw REAL drive situations and am glad I did. It was a very very pleasent suprise.

As far as comfort, for me, great, a ton of front trunk room for all the bags..a bit more than the 6.0. The interior is a bit larger as well, more glass area for the blind spots..and the larger center arm rest is really nice for the long straight drives to rest your self on. The A/C (has been re-done to the modern chemical charge stuff) ran very very good. I was suprised HOW good it was even in the blistering Las Vegas heat..no issues at all. Stereo was nice, as like on my LP670-4SV, I think the CF doors give it a better re-sound then the padded interior cars. Funny thing, on the run I found that this SE30 #8 has a 6 CD changer behind the passanger seat..bought some CD's at the store and loved it even more. When I get home will have to check mY #15 Red and #25 Jota if they have a CD changer as well LOL LOL

Gas miles was very very good, better than the 6.0SE #19. Performance..assume..but it does not wake up till about 3500-4000 RPMS..car likes it higher RPMS then the 6.0. The SE easily pulled hard and had no problem maintaining top speeds for sustained periods of time.

Two things negative...brakes are lackey, HOWEVER I have updated pads on this SE so it was managiable..just heated rapidly at track conditions. The car, being lighter and 2WD would start to "float" a bit more than the 6.0 at about 160-165..speeds over this the 6.0 takes the advantage.

This trip has for sure convinced me that a SE30 NEEDS to be in your coolection of top 5 Lamborghini cars...

Just for the record..not one check engine light, no oil use and not a single issue with its full operation the entire trip.

Thanks for the write-up of the trip in the SE30. Now, can you arrange a trip so we can have a comparison between the SE30 and the Jota! Do you really need to listen to CDs with that wonderful V12 behind you! Funnily enough, I had my car (not a Lambo) about 6 years before I found it had a 6cd changer under the passenger seat.

    More photos please.

    Thanks, Sab.

That's interesting. I've never noticed before, but yes, it appears to be a black RHD SE30, with black and red seats. The only black RHD car I know of in the UK does not have black and red seats. I've never seen that number plate before although it may be a fake one just for the video. Anyone else know anything about this car?

Do you mean the one with the awful rear air intakes? If so, that has black seats with red piping. It used to be about 4 miles from where I live, but is in England now and is for sale.

Yeah, just had a good look at the video and the passenger door is raised, so not red seats. It's a good bet that it is indeed 072 then!..... before the awful air intakes were added!

Yes. Fairly certain of the orange & yellow (seen photos of them) and I believe the third was black. Not sure what year they were registered.
