Just hypothetical -- but Brawn has an unhappy #2 driver, and there's a 4 time ChampCar champion available now who is likely to want to prove a point. Hmmmmmm.

He is actually a great driver if he can put all of the sectors together.

4x champcar champion or not, he got beaten by his ROOKIE team mate at almost every weekend so far. This rookie teammate finished 6th last year in GP2, with 2 wins...

I dont think we're ever seeing bourdais again in F1.

If brawn are truly unhappy with barrichello they can always replace him with their first candidate, which is their test driver anthony davidson.

    :)

Brawn might consider him if he was a 4x ChampCar champion only. However, he's a 4x Champcar champion who has been beaten by F1 newbie teammates basically ever race...

recent article has his attorney's looking at contract breach by STR - there's world of Piquet being out of his seat, a more natural might be for Bourdais going to a FRENCH manufacturer instead of Brawn - a couple articles have Nico Rosberg mentioned with four teams, Brawn being one of them...

I think it would be great to put Bourdais in a Renault and him beat the teenage punk test STR driver.....

Brawn would be better off hiring Buemi:

    Qualy - Buemi 7, Bourdais 2

    F/Lap - Buemi 5, Bourdais 4

    Race - Buemi 6, Bourdais 3

    Points - Buemi 3, Bourdais 2

What has Bourdais shown in F1 that would justify another chance?

Brawn either needs a hot young prospect or someone who brings some sponsorship bucks.

I'm sad to see him go. I met him at Sebring and he was actually very cool. There was a pretty funny exchange between he, Franck Montagy and myself that i'll post if anyone is interested. It involved a sharpie and "modifying" each other's picture on my program. That said, he wasn't getting it done on the track. I dunno what it is about STR but other than Vettel, no one seems to do well on that team.

What makes you think so? He retracted everything he spoke to the media right after the German GP. :)

He's been a #2 driver all these years. He's playing his role well.
