I am looking for replacements for the three potentiometers that control the fans in my 328 -- two for the heating/cooling and one for the aircon. Since the flooding of the car in France at the end of last year, these seem to have failed. The part number is 62618000. Current price I am seeing is anywhere between £200 and £500 each if they are available. Does anybody know of a more reasonable source for these, or a potential replacement for the original part?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

Are you shure the potentiometers are broken. It seems nearly impossible to me that all three are not working! The water did not reach this pot-meters i think?
If the connectors are not good fixed on the big black box behind the metal plate (on the passengers side) they will not work. Try to make them working with the metal plate removed so you can check if the connectors stays on place in the big black box.
    Hopefully this could help !

The garagiste working on the car in France has dismantled the first of the controllers and tells me that it is broken, impossible to repair, so we need at least one. 'the water probably did reach the controllers -- the depth was about 30 cm.

I will pass on your advice, though, so thanks for that.

What is actually inside the black casing of those controls? There must be standard parts in there surely.

    Any pictures?

The car is in France and I am in the UK at present so I cannot photograph the part. However there is a document about cleaning the component called "Ferrari 328 AC switch cleaning.pdf" which contains some photographs and is linked to the discussion below:

The electronic components look to be fairly standard but without actually having the piece in my hand it is difficult to tell.
