Hi, Can anyone recommend how to improve the pulley / spring on the seat belt. Sometimes I have to manually feed the seat belt back in after a drive. Is there a way to improve this, or does it need to be replaced? Thanks in advance for your help.
you could try to blow out the dust and dirt and try again. but I think it will not work much. best would be to replace. sure you can open it and see what is wrong, but you are sure to put all together that it works right?
Easy done The issue is actually sweat and grime from your body! It makes it stiff so it cant roll back Get a bucket of warm water with some washing powder, pull the seatbelt out and wash and scrub it and let it soak for 15-20 min Wash it off with fresh water Either dry with hairdrier or dont let it wind back for day or two Fixed! I covered my seats etc in towels and made sure my bucket didnt tip so i could just unwind and place a clip on it while it sat in bucket
I had this when the seat belt was twisted 180 degrees. Pull it out completely to check. You will only find out when it’s pulled completely. The twist in the roll is an obstacle.
The belts are now going back in freely. I pulled them all of the way out and could see that both were twisted.
