Anyone know a place to get seat belts for an 1982 308? Ricambi out. Female part on passenger side dissintegrated, but isn't that always the problem?

    I believe http://www.reoriginals.com has them.

You used to be able to browse their catalog but now you have to register to do so.

I tried finding replacement originals for my '78 308 and was unable to do so. I even tried contacting Kippan but they said they don't make the same style anymore. What I did was find a generic replacement and swapped the hardware. This way I got a new retractor and belts but kept the same male and female end components. Doesn't sound like that'll work too well for you though.

I can't seem to find the company info right now and apparently that was the only receipt I failed to keep from my interior work. I'll look around to see if I can find them. For that matter I might still have the new hardware out in the garage somewhere. It wouldn't match but at least it would work!

I think I threw the "spare" new parts out last time I cleaned the garage. Of course I kept the old stock retractors for some reason!

I also can't for the life of me remember the place I got the new ones. I keep looking through my bookmarks thinking it's got to be there somewhere but it's not. I'll plow through my receipts again and see what I can come up with.

Went thru this exact same thing myself about a year ago.

The female "buckle" part of the belt system is length specific to the individual car.

These Klippan belts come in all different lengths, and unless you carefully match the length of the new one to your old one, you will be disappointed (as I was) when you find one which is too long (or too short) to be useable.

After all of this, I am STILL looking, as well as you are!

    Cheers - DM

I am also looking for driver's side female. 11" tall
Yes, beware of part numbers - the offical pn doesn't guarantee the style which came with your car. I was about ready to transact (can't remember with who) when an exchange of pictures revealed the difference. One has buckle male has a hole in the middle, female has button on the side, whereas mine and deLorean and others have male 'mushroom' / female unlatch button is on top end. I expect to pay $100 to the first one I can find.

Incidently the drivers and passenger side can be reversed but the unlatch button will migrate from top to bottom in doing so. Also, drivers female has a switch for the seat belt alarm (which circuit rarely works).
