Hi guys, just bought my first "F" car. 1988 328 GTS with 16,700 miles, all original and all documented. What a totally engaging piece of art. After affairs with German and British collector cars, this machine does live up to the hype. Couldn't be more thrilled. Sorry if I'm gushing... Hey the seats are perfect. I'd like to get some seat covers but they need to breath. Don't want to choke or mar the leather if you know what I mean. Where do I go?Thanks in advance for the responses.

Hi, I'm new to the site. Just got my first "F" car. 1988 328 GTS. 16,700 miles with all documentation. Red/tan. Just an amazing/driving piece of art. I've had plenty German and British collector cars but this machine lives up to the hype. Very, very engaging. I'm gushing....sorry. Hey the seats are perfect. I'd like to preserve them as much as possible. Where do I go for good seat covers. Ones that breath and don't mar the leather surface. You know what I mean. Thanks in advance for the response(s).

Hi, Leon. Hi, Leon. Let me be the first to welcome you to the forum. Nice car, indeed. As for seat covers, I just use a towel on the seat bottom when I drive it. It's worked for me for 9 years, and the seats still look good. Besides, I thought you like "patina". ;-) -Steve

For that price you can find the OEM covers on EBay. They show up now and again and fit well. I use them when I have my kids car seat in the 308 and for general storage. I have driven with them on and they are ok for that too. I have brand new leather in mine so they are getting a lot of use.

Here is the last pair I saw sold on EBay. They normally go for around $80 but as with all things 308, prices seem to be going up.

I have both the tan and the black. They are nice looking and durable.

I had the leather replaced about 3 years ago & have been using one for the driver's side for all that time. No problems.

Well that is welcome news! I have some unopened assuming they were just for storage. I will have to break those puppies out. Thanks.
