Not really. It's going to be redyed. It's not like all the original dye comes off. Just rub it lightly to clean off the dirt that's embedded into the old color. Plus, it deglosses the surface so the new dye adheres better and won't peel over time. I've seen that happen with redyes. Looks good when first done. A few years later it starts peeling and has to be stripped.
Cuneo and Danrc30, that looks amazing! My 348 has black interior and I touch up little scuffs with a black Sharpie. My Mercedes S550 armrest was looking Tatty and I ordered Leatherique and the color wasn't even close I sent it back three times and it was still not even close. I finally gave up and threw it in the garbage. I literally went to Home Depot with my arm rest and had them do a color match with their $8 Bher Premium Plus flat paint finish sample size and applied it with a sponge and it is absolutely 100% perfect match, perfect texture and looks amazing. Water based just like Leatherique. It's been one year and still holding up great
Oh no! You discovered my secret. Here is another picture on my 355 driver's seat (taken today) which I dyed back in 2014 with a mix of 1/2 Bher Premium Flat, 1/2 water. Image Unavailable, Please Login
