Ok, so my 360 has seen more asses than pchop at a sorority party, and the front seat is basically shot--the stuffing is completely flattened out and the leather is incredibly worn.

Rather than buying a new seat directly from Ferrari, I'd like to get this one repairing/refinished. That basically means stuffing it with new foam and reparing/restoring/replacing the leather.

Does anyone have a good "leather guy" who can do this well? (and relatively quickly, since the car is basically out of commission while the seat's out).

    Thanks in advance...

Hey Noah, I know an excellent auto upholstery shop.... approx 35mins west of NYC near me. I know he does high end jobs, but I cannot vouch that he'll be quick. I will lookup his contact details and post it here soon as I find it.

Talk to Emil, bc Funkmaster Flex always showcases great auto upholstery guys on his Spike TV shows that are located in NY.

Everytime I sit in the 360 I want to take a crap. (only partially because it feels like a toilet seat)

Noah they just finished redyeing both of my seats and my center arm rest last weekend at Detailing Dynamics. They did complete refinishing, sanded, fill in all the cracks, and factory color dyeing, when they open I'll get some of the b/4 and after pics. They look too good, I might have to have the rest of the interior done now. :)

Michael's suggestion sounds good, but just to follow thru, here's my recc:

    Tom's Auto Upholstery
58 Boonton Ave, Butler NJ 07405
    973 838-5152
speak to Roger, owner, and mention my name.

I spoke to him this morning... he said downtime would only be 1-2 days tops, but that he probably could not fit you in for a couple weeks. I advise you call him if you are interested, you might be able to better negotiate that.

I can tell you he is no stranger to exotics, and that people travel far and wide for his work.

He did a bunch of interior work for me on various Jaguars, including leather repair work on my former XJS. Nice guy, does a lot of custom interiors for collector cars.

A message I received from an undisclosed party earlier:

We have seen the work from the place in NJ and Automat and they are way too low on quality for our standards. The guy that does the re-dying for us
comes from upstate (almost an hour drive) and it’s the person that just about any classic car collector uses when it comes to repair on show cars.

I'm curious, what kind of leather is used on Ferraris? I ask this only because I happen to have hides from Spinneybeck and some from Cortina that are just sitting around in a closet.

I dont know, but my corvette seats looked new when i took them out of the car after 70,000+ miles. The F car seats lasted not nearly half as long.
