Hi all - I am looking for a source for the sensor strip assemblies that are inside the seat cushion or seat frames in earlier US spec 308s. These typically activate a buzzer or alarm if you try to start the engine and have not buckled your seatbelt. I spent the last 2 hours searching through the threads here but could find nothing. For the last 2 days I also checked the usual suppliers but nothing came up, other than miscellaneous sensor items (but not for the seats and seatbelts). I would appreciate a lead. Thank you.
I believe they were manufactured by Torrix and bizarrely I can find the Torrix U.S. Patent for them from the 1970s, but not the items themselves. They are also known as Pressure Operated Tape Switches. Here is the patent number - US 3751615 A
