Are the seat backs in the 550 narrower than in the 575. I was in a couple the other day and the 575 seat seemed to be much more comfy.

Is this my imagination or is there a difference. Can the seats be swapped?

    Thanks,
    dsd

the seats in the 550 seat was probably on it's tightest lateral support setting-- there is a knob on the side of the seat the will tighten or loosen the side bolsters.

On the Fiorano's (at least 550), you need to push the / of the _/ control until the desired width. This is an electronic air inflation setting, as opposed to the dials, which apprear to do nothing on but spin.

On the '99 550 I have I tried many times to spread the seat bolsters with the knob, but it doesn't seem to change. It's tight on fat guys like me.

I am about the size of a professional football player.

See if your seat has the option to push up the back portion. This control typically would raise the head rest in a benz or Audi, In my 550 the dial does nothing, this switch widens the back by pumping air into the center.

Pulling up the switch pumps the lumbar support. I never had one open the laterals.

Perhaps it is an indirect result.

I know my dials do nothing, but when I push the switch you can see the leterals pushing outward, making the seat much more comfortable for me.

Where would this switch be if it was an option on my car?
    Thanks
