I was looking at my seats in the 81 308 GTSi, wondering how to take them out. They are very hard to slide, so I'm not sure if they lift out of slots in the track like my Cessna. Or just take the bolts out of the tracks.

    Please advise, and thanks.

4 bolts holding them down, 2 in front and 2 in rear. Whole seat with sliders comes out.

They're socket headed bolts and likely your tracks are a) gummed up b) grease dried in the Reagan administration c) there's a green penny and a fountain pen someone lost 6 years ago in there d) Your tracks are 'bent' enough to bind

ALL the above was true with mine. Plus, they sit right ON the floor, so any contact just slows 'em down. NOTE: When cleaning these, watch your fingers big time. They slide when you're not looking, and try to clip your fingernails... at about the second knuckle down.

Once clean and straight, you may want to add a hardened spacer (1/8" should do it)to give you a little air to clear the floor. They'll work again, promise.

THAT's where those rusty washers came from!!! LOL!

Presoak the bolts some, they go thru to the underfloor and will be rusty all the way out.

Have you guys been in my car?!?!? That's funny stuff, so consistent. I used to find the occasional gross comb, but no one combs their hair anymore. Some have none to comb.

I once found a hypo-dermic needle, got stuck with it pulling it out in horror. Tetanus shot the next day. Another time found a burgundy Mont Blanc that I had for years and lost semi recently. Found a wedding program - and in the same car - a funeral program. Made me think. Found the unmistakable 'shattered glass' remnants from a break in, likely a stereo theft. (I hope nothing worse!) 'The Best of the Doors' CD in a 993 twin turbo, which I kept. Returned some RayBans left in the Viper. Detected faint odor of hair gel thereon.

Sorry to venture off topic slightly, but hey, it's Friday.

Hey Bubba, is that Victoria beside you? And if so, what is her secret?
