Ferrari still have a long shot at the constructors. If they somehow pull it out the season isn't a total loss. In fact I'll be quite pleased.

It's easy for Bernie to be armchair quarterback IMO it was a hard fought season and Vettel encountered
a combination of errors and bad luck Whereas LH was hitting on all cylinders

From a friend, working for an F1 components supplier, and rumours are generally accurate.

I don't think Hamilton wants to drive for Ferrari. He already has a cozy kingdom in the Mercedes team.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I could see this happening. Nico has a nice and active life outside the F1 cockpit. There is life after F1.

There's the wildcard. Max has that performance clause in his contract. If RB/Honda sucks, he can leave. Max at Ferrari?

If Charles really proofs to be good enough to beat Seb and send him to retirement, why the hell would Lewis risk his reputation to compete with him???
Lewis is is clear No.1 at the best team, why would he give that away to risk to be beaten by a young hungry talent like he was when driving against Fernando? As he never had any special feelings for Ferrari I do not see that at all....

With F1? Or just Ferrari (presumably if no title is won).

I know Verstappen has clause in his contract if Honda doesn't deliver....can leave end of season. Ricciardo would be the other option.

They should have secured Ricciardo for 2019 and brought in Leclerc for 2020 for a line-up.

Verstappen looks a long shot to end up at Ferrari.

Yes...only time will tell of course with Leclerc. He's a great driver but I thought the move was a year too early.

If Honda is a complete failure this year I can see it happen. Unless Lewis would abandon the superior Mercedes team for Ferrari (can't see it myself) then the obvious move is Verstappen to Mercedes.

Elton won’t go to Ferrari, they don’t want him, nevr have, never will. If Vettel goes, it will be because Charles has proved a top talent, and they will go and rescue ricciardo from the mess at Renault, or Maxine from Honda.

Irvine provides this lol - Ouch!! https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/141148/irvine-overrated-vettel-a-onetrick-pony

Ex-Ferrari Formula 1 driver Eddie Irvine has labelled four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel "massively overrated" and a "one-trick pony".

Irvine raced for Ferrari from 1996 to '99 and earned all four of his grand prix victories in his final season with the team, taking on the role of its title protagonist after Michael Schumacher suffered a broken leg.

Despite claiming "I don't watch it [F1] anymore because it bores me", Irvine - who left F1 at the end of the 2002 season after three years with Jaguar - questioned five-time world champion Lewis Hamilton's credentials because of the Briton's "debatable" competition.

Irvine, the 1999 championship runner-up, said Hamilton is "in a different league" to his rivals but "I don't even think he is close to Michael's league" because the likes of Vettel have questionable quality.

Speaking to BBC Northern Ireland, Irvine said: "I think Vettel is good if he is at the front and he doesn't have anybody to race.

"When you watch Lewis race, Lewis is focused on racing and getting ahead.

"You watch Vettel and, when Vettel is racing is someone, he is focused as much on the other guy as he is on where he is going and inevitably crashes into the other guy.

"That happens nearly all the time. I think Vettel is a good driver, but a four-times world champion, I just don't see it.

    "I think he is massively overrated, I think he's a one-trick pony.

"Lewis has a much broader talent."
