I do not see the Porsche Spyders entered. Only two cars in GT1 Gee I wonder what car will win, what a joke Gt1 is.

 

That Ford GT-R is crazy! By far the loudest car at Limerock in '08.

 

bummer that the RS Spiders aren't listed. any hope that some will be?

The Porsche Spyders that Roger Penske had are back with Porsche in Germany. I think Dyson sold his two (don't remember for certain the disposition of them). The only RS Spyders running are in Europe - and at that it's only one or two. The Penske project was only a three year endeavor. The Ford GT is definitely "crazy" - the proverbial back marker of the group. Glad to see Rob Bell with Paul Drayson but sorry not to see him driving for Guiseppe....Rob is a fantastic 430 driver. Interestingly enough there's only the one BMW - two had been talked about for the season - it shows TBA but I suspect that Joey Hand and Bill Auberlin will be the drivers in that one. Rumor mill has a factory Porsche driver with Vici - perhaps Maassen and another possible name is Richard Westbrook. Pierre Kaffer has been rumored with Risi.

Race time is getting closer.

Just came across a mention on dailysportscar.com of a rumor floating about that Vitaphone may be planing to run an RS Spyder in the LMS and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. According to the site that would make it 3 or 4 Spyders running in Europe, none so far announced for the US.

Looks like we've some great cars side-lined this season.
The RR8 looks to have been quietly shelved.

Was always going to be a transition year I guess. Roll on '10 and in the mean time enjoy what we have.

 

Looks like Team Essex teamed with Porsche and Poulsen Motorsport has it's eyes set on the 24 Hour race. Drivers mentioned are Emmanuel Collard, Casper Elgaard and Kristian Poulsen. This would be a good thing!

Yeah, what's up w/ BMW posting only 1 entry and drivers TBA? Are they encountering development problems? They did seem to be off the pace in winter testing a few weeks ago...

Is Jacques Villeneuve still part of the Peugeot team? Didn't see his name on the Sebring list. Will he be at the 24 hrs of Le Mans?
