There's some stuff here we don't need to know, but. The history of the cows. There have been people in the field out front lined up for camping spots since March 1. They leave their campers and come back each weekend and party till they can get in on March 17. Oh no, that's St. Patrick's Day. There's a Speed TV thing live 3/19 from 7-8 PM from the area of pit out. Some guy with a satellite is putting up a 12 ft. inflatable screen in turn 10 Friday night for the Truth in 24. I'm sure I'll be in a bar eating dinner watching it. Beware the Tropicoma. There's real potential for NSW photos.

See David Brabham will drive his father's '59 season WDC winning Cooper-Climax T51 at Sebring.
Wonder if he'll get out and push it across the line, as Sir Jack did in '59 to secure the championship from Moss and Tony Brooks.

Patron's Duncan Drayton has paid to bring the car, now owned by Mrs Joel Finn to Sebring.
Great for the fans present to be able to enjoy seeing the car and kick off Sir Jack Brabhams 50th anniversary year.

One more reason I wish I could be there with you other lucky people. Should be a great meeting.

Thanks very much for this information. I am crossing my fingers that it will be on Saturday morning sometime...would make sense as that's when the crowd will be there.

Michael and Bruce you need to get us photos of this (especially Bruce with his photo pass).

What the heck.....there's some airfare specials out there...come join us...as of yesterday you can still get into the Audi hospitality.

    Thanks.
    Carol

I was just telling John I bet we saw that car at the 100 years of Grand Prix at Autosport International in Birmingham several years ago...now if I can find my cd that I put the photos on..

How does one "get into the Audi hospitality"? I'm assuming that you have to be a working journo or similar?

BTW, did you used to know Michael Hollander? I've a feeling that I used to "see" you on RIS a long long time ago?

Just checked website and it still shows available - www.audiexp.com - we've done this many times at different locations, Michael has also joined us at Mid-Ohio and Petit. Non ACNA member is $150 plus your race ticket which is either $100 or $80, if only Saturday.

Don't know that person and it wasn't me that used use to "see".

Ah, the mighty Repco-Brabham as we Phil Irving fans called it.
Black Jack preferred Brabham-Repco, of course. ;)
Either way a landmark car for aussie motorsport fans.

Saturday looks a good chance for the Cooper-Climax T51 parade laps.
The press release isn't too clear, saying "prior to the 12-hour race on Saturday."

Checked out that site today - wow... ummm... do they even know that there is a race going on? Reads like the exploits of some drunken frat boys in New Orleans not race fans. Followed a link to a video on youtube and it was pretty disgusting.
Googled Sebring and drunk and found sebringdrunkyard.com. Equally disgusting.

The Audi Tent will be there this year, the Porsche presentation will be much smaller than last year. Oh by the way Audi came out for a trial run and clocked a 1:43 on it's second lap....WOW! What a weekend ahead! See you all there!

Three hours of American Le Mans Series action were part of Tuesday’s pre-race test days schedule. The GT1 and GT2 cars were again the first ones out, with the LMP1 and LMP2 cars ending the day.

As soon as the clock showed 1.00 pm and the track went green the GT teams went out to work on the set-up of their cars. At the front the two Corvette C6.Rs were within a second of each other again with the O’Connel-Magnussen-Garcia car taking the class honours during their 1.5 hours long test.

In GT2 it was once more Advanced Engineering Pecom Racing Team that was quickest. The Ferrari F430 GT2 was constantly at the front of the GT2 grid and when the checkered flag came out it had again beaten all its rivals. The Farnbacher Loles Racing Porsche 997 GT3 RSR managed to take second, with the Risi Competizione Ferrari F430 GT2 third fastest for the third time this week.

Just after 1.30 pm the LMP1 and LMP2 cars were allowed to join their GT colleagues, but they had not even completed a single lap yet when the red flag came out. On his outlap Sébastien Bourdais had spun the #08 Team Peugeot Total Peugeot 908 HDi FAP. In Turn 6 the French driver lost control of his car and spun the car into the barrier, damaging the right rear bodywork. The car was taken back to the paddock area on a flatbed transporter. Bourdais briefly visited the medical center but, other than a bruised ego, he had nothing.

The session was restarted some minutes later and all the way until 2.30 pm all classes were allowed on the track, with the final thirty minutes between 2.30 and 3.00 pm LMP only.

After setting fastest times yesterday Audi had to settle for second and third today, positions that hardly seemed to bother anyone at the Audi squads. The #07 Peugeot 908 set the fastest lap, stopping the clocks in 1:44.555. The #2 Audi R15 was only a quarter of a second behind, while the #1 was just over a second slower in this session than the Peugeot.
Autocon Motorsports and Intersport Racing made their first laps around the track during the session, their Lola’s still somewhat off the pace of the cars that ran before.

The Dyson Racing Lola #16 was the only LMP2 car out testing, with the second Lola Mazda and the Fernandez Racing Acura staying in the paddock.
