Currently, if you are a FCA member and have not purchased one of the “F” packages and were thinking of going to one of the events such as the Concurs on Monday just to see the cars on display, you may be out of luck. The question was asked in the context of FCA members and the BOD is evaluating the situation and is considering a special ticket for $100 so you can see the cars or not allow you in the track at all. Some feed back is the BOD doesn’t want a lot of people walking around. Interesting that as a FCA member, you have the privilege of spending money to walk around a FCA event that you are indirectly paying for with your dues. My understanding that no decision has been reached. You may want to find out before you head for Sebring on that November Monday morning.

Interesting. Hadn’t heard about charging folks. Is not charging spectators fair to the folks who paid?

OTOH, pulling this together in 6 months is quite an accomplishment considering it usually takes 2 years to plan and execute an AE.
I’m an F2 and the wife is an F3 and we’re volunteering at registration Sunday evening.

Those two cars are actually my dream Ferraris in a single picture, but the paranoia of driving them (let alone on a track) would probably give me a stroke. Working on an F40 to overcome that fear though… :)

They are just cars. And not crazy fast like your F8. I bet you would love to drive the 275. Simple, requires being driven by the pilot (not the nannies) and after working up a sweat in the end you are not really going that fast.

It’s why my GTC is and always has been my favorite in my garage. I will go anywhere in the 330….grocery store or an 800 mile trip.

    They are just cars!!!!

Steve is the man. I’ve tried to explain the “Ferrari thing” to so many people, and words fail me. Joe (JAM1) is also a Ferrari person. It’s really hard to explain. These cars can be so ****ing hard to explain. Why put up with this ****? I’m hot to trot to buy a new Z car. 400 ponies, stick, small, and it is Japanese. You can drive the snot out of the car, and it keeps asking for more. Then again, Steve has a 599 taking up space. Wayne are you listening? Ah, ****. You only live once.

I agree they’re just cars in terms of the newer stuff like my F8, but when it comes to the older cars from say the CS back I feel a custodial responsibility to them. While I lust after an F40 sharing the road with complete fools and risking being hit would worry me. A comp 275? Forget it! Maybe in time I’ll get past that idea. I respect and appreciate those who have cars they can enjoy, share, and even track like the ones in the pics above.
