P1 & P2 just finished qualifying. 1. Audi #2 - 126.91 mph - Werner qualified 2. Audi #1 - 126.48 mph - Dindo qualified - good deal Audi on first row 1. Spyder - Penske - Bernhard - 125.62 mph 2. Acura - Highcroft - Brabham - 124.38 mph 3. Spyder - Dyson - Wallace 4. Acura - AGR - Herta 5. Spyder - Dyson - Dyson 6. Acura - Fernandez - Fernandez 7. Spyder - Penske - Maassen 8. Lola/Mazda 9. Lola/AER 10. Lola/Judd Will be interesting to see what Risi does with #62. Apparently Melo spun flatspotting one of the tires - question remains can they change only one tire and not get penalized or will they be at the back of the grid due to a tire change - the race is 12 hours long so anything's possible. Mandatory night practice staring at 7:45 pm EDT. Carol
What an interesting grid in P2: Porsche - Acura - Porsche - Acura - Porsche - Acura - Porsche. Which means the four Porsches will line up nose to tail on one side of the track, and the three Acuras will do the same in the other lane!

Hey Peter, I did'nt work with Farnbacher Loles in Sebring, I work with Kelly Moss Motorsports in the IMSA series. We ran 3 cars this weekend and Tom Papadopoulos (SCCA Aston Martin) ran the Jaegermeister 997 for us and qualified outside row 3. We qualified OK with the other 2 cars but the track was always so "greasy" in the afternoon sessions compared to the morning. No grip in key corners. But as it happened, none of the dry setups were run as we had a Florida deluge of rain just as we grid for the race. Put on the rain tires, lose the rear sway bar, full soft setting on the front bar, dump all the bump and rebound in the shocks and hope for the best. IMSA delayed the start of the race and then called it a 30 minute race instead of 45 minutes. It was pouring as the green flew and you couldn't see dick from the rooster trail 5 row and back. Cars got loose as they crossed the 30' painted start/finish line with 1" standing water and the mayhem ensued. Complete carnage involving at least 8 -10 cars. I have awesome video if someone wants to host the 19 meg recording of it... After the race went green again, Tom spun in the back working his way up towards 3rd and lost several positions before he got going. Tom ended up finishing 6th but we lost one of our cars and our other driver finished in the top 15. Scheisse...
