The chase for the 2013 CCR Championship took the green flag today at 12:15 PM under the clear, sunny Florida sky. When the checkered flag dropped thirty minutes later the 430 class was led by Mark McKenzie, followed by Andrea Taurino in second, and Joe Rubbo completed the podium with third place. The 360 class closed out with Peter Castellana in first place, Harold Petit in second, followed by Bruce Ledoux in third. Stay tuned for more action from tomorrows morning race!!! Congratulations to all the participants and the podium finishers! I missed being there this year. I was impressed with the size of the 360 field too. The Andretti email updates are also a nice touch.
Mark Mckenzie posted a 430c record breaking lap of 2:08.9, and Peter Castellana posted a 360c record breaking lap of 2:14.5. Awesome!
I wasn't in a very good spot for pictures for the CCR but took a few anyway. I'll try and do better next time.
