Hi all - Unfortunately I have to sell my 1965 Sebring series II. Please get in touch if you're interested! MASERATI SEBRING SERIES II - AM*101/10.015 1965 series II, an early series 2 version, delivered December 1964. The vehicle is in a very good condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. The Sebring was sold in December 1964 to a Mr. Ciranna in Torino, Italy. The history between 1965 and 1973 is unknown. In 1973 the car was traded in at a Chevrolet dealership in Sioux Falls. The car was bought as a present to a Mrs. to do day-to-day groceryshopping. It turned out that this was not the right car for the purpose, and a friend of the couple took it off their hands. His name was Darwin Gunderson, and had the car for 15 years before he sold it to a broker on the westcoast. At this point the car received a lighter restoration before being ready for sale. The Norwegian company Sports Car A/S bought the car in San Diego in November 1989, and they quickly found a buyer back in Oslo. The car resided for 17 years in storage before being brought back to life in 2006. The vehicle was then gone through by Maserati specialists here in Oslo. All hoses and parts needed after the long storage was exchanged, and the car got Norwegian licenseplates/MOT. I bought the car in December 2008. The car then still suffered from the big sleep and had a few minor mechanical problems. During my 3 years of ownership I have brought the car back to very good condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. A lot of parts have been replaced (fuelpumps, clutch, 2nd gear synchro, exhaust and lots more). The car now runs excellently without any problems. The car still has the original Lucas injection, and is not converted to Webers. Cosmetically I have acquired a few missing trimparts, and also attended to rust on the bottom of the hood, bottom of the trunklid and passenger side door. These areas have been totally redone by specialists with utmost care. They also matched the color perfectly. There are 2 visible flaws right now; A small bubble of rust at the bottom on one side, and a chip has come off on the drivers door. The car has otherwise no dents or dings. The chromework is absolutely great The car got new tires last year, the best you can get for this vehicle - Michelin Pilote X 600WR16, bought at Longstone in England. The tires have done about 1500km. The wheels are original Borrani discwheels. The interior of the car is very good, the leather is superb and all toggles/switches are there. The only weak about the interior is the dashboard. It has a little more patina then the rest. Mounted in the car is also a Becker Mexico 7948. The player has navigation, telephone and everything else. No new holes have been made to mount this. The headunit has already become a collectors item, and sells for 4-5.000 $ used on Ebay. Info on the headunit here: http://www.mybecker.com/enUK/Automotive+Archive.html The original radio also comes with the car. The car has done 92.000km. I am selling my Sebring due to a houseproject that needs much more cash than anticipated. I have set the price to a reasonable 70.000 US$ or 51.000 EUR. There are currently a couple other Sebrings for sale around the world, for about double my asking. Congrats! ... But, we will miss that car here in Norway. It's a very nice car. Kimm, the previous owner, has been quite active in the local Maserati scene. Cheers, Gabriel
