Seven time World Champion Michael Schumacher is all set to become a movie actor.

The 37-year-old Ferrari driver, along with football stars David Beckham and Zinedine Zidane, will appear in the new film 'Asterix and the Olympic Games', based on the comic book.

Filming of the movie, to star Gerard Depardieu, will kick off in June, in Valencia -- home of the famous Spanish F1 test track.

With a reported budget of nearly $100m, the movie - a joint production of France, Spain and Germany - is apparently the biggest ever in European history.

Good for MS, looking forward to see him. He was hilarious in that vodafone commercial where he played his alternate career as a CPA.

Aside from that I can't imagine this movie is going to be something I like to see: Adaptations with real live people from comics are always tacky and loose their spirit. Just my $ 0.02.

I never saw it, don't really want to, but how was Eddie Irvine's role in "The Prince and Me,"? I remember a blurb about him in F1 Racing mag saying he played a role similar to his own personality.

I could see MS doing something related to football post racing. Either in an ownership role or senior competition. Doesn't he consider Pele a good friend and have friendly pick up games with Prince Albert while in Monaco? Saw such photos and gossip blurbs in old F1 mags as well.

I already know and have seen the craptacular spots of JV, JPM and Alesi in Driven. But Im certain Eddie has a speaking role in his bit part.
