I am picking up my 2011 Granturismo tomorrow from a Maserati dealer in NJ. They has one key for the car and trying to locate a second key for the car from their sister dealership in Florida, where the car came from. How hard should I press for them to give me a second key? I have read threads where the cost for a replacement Maserati key can be upwards to $600. This is a significant expense??

I've been quoted anywhere from 250-500 for the key
    150-250 to program it.
I asked at 3 different dealers.

I have one on order (2012 MC).
I'll let you know the final cost.

if buying from an authorized dealer, press hard for it.
I bought mine from an independent dealer, only had 1 key. But I got a great deal!

More than the price of the key is the process you have to follow in order to actually PLACE the order.

    Usually in person:
    Proof of ownership
    Valid ID
    Pre-Pay
    Maserati accepts the order
    etc...

If they can get it, get if from them, even have them place the order since the car is in their name now... vs you having to wait till the title is transferred into your name, which with the DMV could be months..

but yes, press for both keys.
