    Everyone is invited to join the MAFFIA at their favorite hang-out!

    This Saturday, August 14, is the Second Saturday and we'll meet at Paciugo's in Plano (there is a map on the website calendar at www.maffiacarclub.com). We'll be there from 8 to 10:30 PM.

    Bring your hot Italian car and enjoy some cool gelati and cool company.

    I found a Paciuqo's in southwest Ft. Worth near my home. That is the best ice cream that I've had in a while.

    That's the same outfit. You should organize a Gelati Night there!

    You might even get some hot and tired drivers from all the lap driving at TMS. ;-)

    Nice evening. I think that's the most cars (around a dozen?) we've had. Each time it's gotten bigger. Thanks to Marci and Rodney for putting it on again.

    Thanks Matt. Yes, each month more people have shown up. The word has spread! We'll definitely do this again next summer. It was great to see everyone!

    Carolyn Rose took photos and we'll be posting them on the website this week.

    Good News: we're very glad that Francine's ankle has healed. She overworked it walking around Paris (Paris, France that is!). Now she can drive standard again! Yay!

    Philip and Cindy Newman brought out their gorgeous '58 Alfa Spider, and Nick came with his 355 Spider. The Roses, Don and Carolyn arrived in a silver Berlinetta. The yellow Ferrari is in the shop having an SUV dent removed.

    The Coles (Steve, Judith and daughters) arrived in Steve's Fiat race car, Matt brought his beautiful blue Pantera and was joined by a red Pantera.

    The surprise of the evening were the two brave British cars: the TR-7 of MAFFIA member Fred Schultz and the Very Large 1930 Rolls-Royce of Jim Powell of the Rolls Royce Club. The Rolls is so big that Jim is an honorary MAFFIA member.

    Gelati was enjoyed by all as the Mutual Admiration Society was in full swing all evening.

    Actually, I could go for this event going on even further into the year. We're in Texas--winter won't hit until November! And that's a mild winter at that! Did I hear right from John earlier tonight that there will a MAFFIA clue/scavenger hunt type thing later this year, like we did last year? That was some good fun. Looking forward to another tour of Bob Smith's in October.

    You folks need to get out an support the MAFFIA Club, Marci and Rodney do a great job, all on their own!
