There was something online where everyone signed up and it did all the work for you. Like you just signed up and when it came time, it just emailed you the address of the person you have to send your thing to

I am gonna be running a F-Chat Secret Santa dealio this year for all that want in. My plan is to start sign-ups in about 2 weeks and let the sign-ups roll in for 2 weeks. Then before thanksgiving I will do the matches, and that gives everyone almost 4 weeks to get their present and send it. It also gives the folks overseas a chance to get in on it, because for them shipping may take 2 weeks, so they'd have time (and I would dearly love to have more overseas folks because I think it makes the world seem smaller when you get a package from half-way around the world!). So, I will make a thread here when we're ready to start and Santa will start collecting names. It's of course open to everyone of any belief, any country etc. The only requirement is don't welch or you get publicly outed on the site as a welcher It did go over really well last year and I already got a few PMs from folks that wanna do it again (as I do too - it was fun!)
I love secret santas. I might be new but Im sure I can think of a great gift. Please PM when they make a list so I do not forget to sign up.

No, it is not too early. Xmas is less than 4 weeks after TG. 2 weeks sign-up period, a week or two to let people get a gift, then it can be up to 2 weeks in transit for overseas people sending gifts. That means we need 5-6 weeks. Impossible to wait until after TG to start this.
