Will the Vanwall actually be there? I thought I saw recently that they lost the case for the naming rights.
there with a different name? I want to see Jacques Villenueve in a hypercar, crazy career that guy has had.
Surprise to me ! They have launched an EV SUV, that looks like a VW Golf, to be registered as a "real" car manufacturer. It's called the Vanwall Vanderwell S Plus. Google it ...
This is what I was referring to: https://www.dailysportscar.com/2023/02/03/bykolles-lose-euipo-case-over-vanwall-trademark.html
That's actually the part I don't get. They couldn't find a real manufacturer willing to slap their badge on the car? Think back to the Nissan dpi we had in IMSA. ESM paid for all the development and bought the motors from Nissan. Nissan had no involvement other than allowing them to call it a Nissan and thus enter the car.
Probably not? It looks like everything Colin Kolles touches turns to be a complete failure ! He messed up 3 teams in F1 (Jordan then Midland, Force India and Campos/HRT), never got of the ground in endurance using (illegally it seems) the Lotus brand, and now this !
Ferrari's at super Sebring: WEC 499P AF Corsa number to be announced 499P AF Corsa number to be announced 488 GTE EVO AF Corsa number to be announced 488 GTE EVO Kessel Racing number to be announced IMSA #21 296 GT3 AF Corsa #023 296 GT3 Triarsi Competizione #47 296 GT3 Cetilar Racing Interestingly #62 296 GT3 raced by Risi Competizione, raced at Daytona but is not on the entry list for Sebring.
Maybe you were looking at GTD not GTD Pro? I see Risi on there. They had committed to the IMSA endurance rounds. https://www.imsa.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/32/2023/03/08/2023_IWSC_Sebring12h_PreEvent_EntryList.pdf IMSA released a new BoP for the GTD classes. I think it is going to be A LOT more competitive.
Please God, I'm askin' for a favor this time. Can you bless Ferrari and help them win this thing? If only just the prototypes? Please God!!!!! Lol.
New Sebring pitlane on the back straight? I don't recognize the usual pits in these photos... https://www.fiawec.com/en/news/prologue-session-1-toyota-1-2-as-new-wec-era-begins/7586?fbclid=IwAR2fQDdnzzuPfkzPORapu7fMWe0kkYXW1arRa1PDFQyb_Q_Qvaj-Y8YZ79A
This is practice, i. e. BOP managing. The Cadillac was outpaced by the Porsche at Daytona, I'd be surprised if they're fastest here.
