Seeking old car/freeway and TV commercial footage (70s/80s)

We are making a documentary about the 1983 US Express (formerly Cannonball) race and are looking for any footage (Super 8 or Betamax) from the late 70s or early 80s of scenes someone driving cross-country might see including: cars on freeways, freeway signs, cars in motion, police cars, people getting pulled over, gas stations, big rigs, people driving, rest areas, etc.

We are also looking for any old TV commercials from that same era.
