awesome car matt. how did u lower the car.
John, I put Challenge coilovers on the car. Yes the car has coilovers stock, but I just wanted it to handle better and lower the crap out of it.
personal choice would be one of the HRE models - reverse lipped, with brushed aluminum center, polished outer. www.hrewheels.com
Stradle and HRE by far the best I like chrome wheels on nice trucks but not on Ferraris each is to its own though.
Wheels are a very personal thing. You need to determine what look you are going for. HRE offers a wide variety of styles, and they are well made. But they are a PITA to keep clean without staining. The polished lip is very prone to trapping water and becoming stained. It requires constant use of a mag wheel polish (which results in minor swirls). Some other brands that you may wish to look into are... - OZ - Hamann - SSR - Kinesis - BBS
Given that we are talking about wheels and tires: One would think that the least amount of "pop" would be prefered <ducking for cover> However, and on a more serious note: the sweet spot in traction seems to be 17" for linear traction (e.g. drag racing) and 18" for cornering traction (especially on bumpy surfaces). In addition the R-compound tires and slicks are a year or so behind the street tires in ramping production into these sizes.
After seeing them all, I think I like the Axis 7's the best. Here's another shot: Image Unavailable, Please Login
i think i'd go with BBS rims, they have a nice line and they seem more racy than other designs. if not that OZ has some nice rims too i especially like the F1 Evo. if you want something a little more flashy then something from Giovanna would probably be the choice. they make plenty of rims especially for high end cars. i'm probably leaning more towards OZ and BBS mainly because they were sponsors of the F1 team, and a lot of the other rims i've seen out there seem too flashy for my taste.
