Alright, I changed this message completely...

I have decided to get the bendpak md-6xp lift...

All the companies I called say I have to get it off the truck myself. It weights 1100 lbs. I weight less :).

How do you guys deal with this???

Even if I got 5 of my buddies to help me, it would still be a bear!

Open to ideas???!!! Are there services that do this? Seems silly to hire someone to carry a lift 30 feet....

Help! I looked for local distrinutors, didn't find any (Wisconsin)...

I'd guess if you had five guys, you would be ok.

I'm sure you can take it off the truck one piece at a time.

I wonder about that. I suspect the delivery guy isn't going to be happy about you taking your time opening the box, and taking it in pieces...

    Has anyone done that?

Not for free, if you hand him a fifty he'll wait as long as it takes.

Maybe you can back a pick-up truck to his truck and drop it into the pick-up bed, thus giving you a way to move it effortlessly the 30 ft. Any of your buds have a F250?

Well, I just ordered the Bend Pak mid rise siccor lift md-6xp. $1500, delivered! Cool.

Apparently the shipper will hold it at a drop off point for 3-5 days, and you can come in a pick up to get it. They will load it onto your vehicle, the just drive home.

    Can't wait!!!

Find a friend with a ramp truck.. Back up to the delivery truck, and use the winch to pull it - the crate/pallet - horizontally on to the ramp truck, then just tilt the ramp down, and winch it off ....

    Lift arrives tomorrow. Yipee.

Delivered via Conway shipping (free) with purchase. Bought from GESUSA.com.

Called the shipper directly, and for 150$ they will bring it to your home and place it in your garage. I am surprised the distributor didn't mention this...

I still have to set it up myself, when I get time....

Tomorrow will be my Christmas morning :).

Look in the yellow pages for a rental lift truck. You should be able to rent a forklift for the day in the 100.00 range. Make sure that you know the size of the box and get one with forks long enough to go under the width of your box.
