c'mon man; "super high mileage"? really? haha.
I get that everyone wants that 5000 mile car, but it's sure strange to me. I don't understand what drives the Ferrari market that way. You won't find that same thing true in the Porsche market, for instance. In fact, on Porsche forums, if a 15-yr-old car popped-up with only 43k miles on it, everyone would be warning potential buyers against dried-out belts, seals, rubber bits, etc. due to non-use.

On a 430, a chain-motor, I don't understand the concern for mileage. and yes, I have a dog in the fight since mine has 47k miles on it. haha!!

What did you think? How did exhaust sound ? service records?

Many factors and it may be a good value but without service records and history or the ability to assess ownership a higher mileage car can be riskier. Was it an auction car? Clean car fax ?

One reason people walk from higher mileage cars is in the case of deferred maintenance or other issues margin/ discount is less. If the car requires deferred maintenance or other work, the price now equals that of a lower mileage well-maintained car and there really is no discount.

My father used to say the most expensive Ferrari is the cheap Ferrari. Personally I would offer much lower and only if it checks out.
