Hmmmm You wonder if he knew it was a fake! https://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/manhattan/ny-jerry-seinfeld-settles-porsche-lawsuit-fica-frio-lily-safra-20220601-bl4pkkmn5rfwxmc5rjhjhykigm-story.html?fbclid=IwAR2UM7hzqx3ryn6F4AMzuwRTeto5HYgn6l6Vzz5wKOkhaoqQ-nXHlVfF6EU
Sure he didn’t know.....this is a guy who walked away from a $5M per episode deal, he isn’t going to cheat someone over a $1.5M car. He is probably embarrassed over the whole thing.
When these sorts of things are discovered, who is left holding the bag? This buyer sued Seinfeld. Can he sue the dealer he bought it from? Would that dealer have cause against whomever they acquired it from? Is there a lawyer in the house? Seems like a mess for sure.
with his money he should have refunded in full, taken the car back and given it to Singer to make him a bad ass 356 carrera.
Curious when the car was restored and who did it. I remember reading about Seinfeld's "1st ever" 911, or 901. At the time it was at the Porsche factory being restored, there was also allegedly a very early very rusty 901 with the VIN stampings cut out of it. Not saying anything, just saying.
i was at Pebble when Seinfeld showed his “1st ever” and his own restorer was telling the judges it actually wasnt the first as he(the restorer) really owned the “first”. i was shocked to hear him undercut Seinfelds car. as a side note at Pebble, Seinfeld has no respect for the public. very rude.
I can’t read the op’s link. This one reads like European Collectibles also settled with Seinfeld. My guess would be Seinfeld lost money in all of this. https://www.reuters.com/legal/litigation/jerry-seinfeld-settles-lawsuit-over-alleged-fake-1958-porsche-2022-06-02/
just for record , Singer doesn't do 356..but rod emory and slang 500 do. https://www.instagram.com/rodemory/ https://www.instagram.com/p/B0U9M_andig/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
Seinfeld Settles Fake Porsche Lawsuit - YouTube Great breakdown by Steve Lehto, car guy and attorney.
Actually he said absolutely nothing 12 minutes to state what we already know: Lawsuit settled, no one is talking
