Hey everyone, So I have been on a search on how to replace the worn out carpets on the bottoms of the engine trunk. I went to Re-Originals and purchased a roll of Italian carpet. Got the carpet, and although the quality is great it just did not match the carpet of my 308's. I believe the carpet that I bought from them was the "upgrade" type. But for what its worth, nice quality. Well, so the funny story here is that the other day I went to Wal Mart and buy this black mat that I decided to cut and use as a quick driver's mat protector and trunk protector, just quick something ... I look at it when I get home and go ... man, this matches my 308's carpet pretty decently. Not exact, but not too bad. Well, to make the long story short, I purchased some vinyl on E-bay and showed up at my mom's house with carpet pieces and a vinyl and go - please saw this together, ha ha .......... and, here are the results. They look great ..... 3 pieces that I'm replacing in the trunk area, plus one of the old ones for comparison. I was looking at my mother while she was sawing and saw vision some old Italian lady doing the same to the original carpet pieces about 33 years ago, ha. Just though I'd share .... ;-) ... next up, I'll post pics.
