any advice on how to sell my 95 348 spider? ideally want to keep it for summer and sell in autumn for retail to individual. will list it in fca newsletter starting in may. could do autoweek and ny times (which is where i found it 4 yrs ago) also. consignment at local exotic dealer other option but not sure of how that works. porsche dealer wants it on trade in for gt3 which would save me $4k in taxes but only if i buy gt3 and i want to lease it. how about pricing? has 17k mi, bolt in roll hoops (look like 360s), HRE wheels and originals, and on and on.
Mine has been for sale for months.. Unless youre giving it away, youll have it for a while. Everyone wants something for nothing. Id put it on the market and when it goes, it goes....
As described I am surprised yours has not already sold at or near 68k. 100 pointers like yours are hard to find. Is the service complete within the last 2 years? If not, that may be the problem. I suggest you post better resolution pics on Ferrari ads...those on there now will never sell a car at high retail. Show that pristine engine!
Service isnt due. Im going to get the oil service done in April before its due. I offer to deduct that and a fresh detail from the asking. Major isnt due for another 2 years. I really dont mind. The more I drive it, the more I love it. Ive done about 1200 miles over the winter on the nice days. Mostly because of the great people I met on this board in the New York forum. Everything happens for a reason.. Ill never lose money on her. A gentleman came over yesterday and drove her. Says it was his first time ever driving a Ferrari. Ill let Memory Burn do its work. He offered me $50,000. I would have sent him to John Lamour, but he just sold his 86 328 for $50,000.
That was a non offer. Probably just wanting to drive a Ferrari at your expense. I had one kid pull that when I was selling my 308.
When I sold my car I attempted it on my own, but got all the tire kickers, other Ferrari owners just being noisey and a bogus check. I then went with the dealer consignment option which was the best. They handled all the advertising, paperwork and made sure the buyer was qualified with a good check and sold the car fast. They even sold it for more then I was asking so I really didn't lose that much. It seems that buyers are more interested in dealing with a dealer than a private party.
