I will be receiving a new 2007 F430 Coupe F1 next February which I had ordered with some options which I don't have in my current 2006 F430 Coupe F1. ( CC Brakes, CF Interior and CS Rims).
Therefore, I will be selling my current 2006 F430 within the next few weeks. If anybody is interested, please let me know. It's ofcourse a Euro spec. with a mileage of 1800 kms., silverstone grey exterior and black leather interior with light grey double stitching.

Hi Al. Yes, exactly the same colour combination for the new one, Grigio Silverstone exterior and black leather interior with light grey stitching.
The only differences are the carbon ceramic brakes, the carbon fiber inserts and the carbon fiber for the driving zone and the Challenge Stradale style rims which I ordered for the new one arriving in February.

Bernard, how does USD 169k sound?
The F430 was produced in 5/2006 and delivered to me in 7/2006.

Have you thought about grey (charcoal) inserts? It looks fantastic with black seats and the grey stitching. It adds just enough to be interesting in a pretty classy manner.

Hi, what do you mean with charcoal inserts? I understand it has to do with the seats, but I did not see an option with that description. Do you have an option code and maybe a picture which will explain.
    Thanks :)

Tarek: The option code for leather inserts (strips) for the daytona seats is STP1. I do not know the 4 digit code # for charcoal color. Contrasting colors or different color shades (black/charcoal) for seat color and leather inserts adds a nice look to the interior.

Attached is an example (not mine though)

Sorry about that.....I was referring to daytona inserts. I know you didn't mention that you were getting this option but if you were......the attached is a pretty nice color combo. I have really been enjoying it. If you get daytonas having a different color insert is no extra cost (if I remember correctly).

I have some better pictures around but these were the easiest for me to find. They are a tad dark because if I used the flash the grey inserts look much lighter than the really are.

Wow Tarek that's a great price. I am in Gibraltar, if I didn't have to pay 30% duty on second hand cars I would have that off you in an instant! Out of interest will it be hard to sell in Cairo?

Would the car have to be converted for use in the US?

    They certainly look very nice.
I will add these black daytona seats and grey inserts to my new F430.
    Thanks to you and Al.

There are a few possibilities, but Cairo is very small market for Ferrari. It is also easy to sell it in the Emirates.

I have very little knowledge of the regulations in the US, but I believe it has to be converted. There was a thread a few weeks back discussing this issue. I think conversion costs could be around USD 30k including shipping if I remember correctly from this previous thread.

Great deal!!!! Very fair price by U.S. standards.

Based on previous threads and conversations, importing/converting the car in the U.S. would cost closer to $20,000.

A U.S. model would woth 1200 miles would easily cost in excess of $220,000, therefore saving the buyer no less than $30,000.

Someone here will (sooner or later) see this and want it.

I have a car due in this or next week and can only handled one at a time.

    Hi Tarek

Just out of curiousity, were the standard breaks not good enough?

I wouldn't say that, but when I received my 2007 SL55 AMG which came with the SL65 AMG Performance Package and includes the carbon ceramic brake system, I immediately felt the superiority of the CC system over the standard brakes and it's higher efficiency. I had a 2005 SL55 AMG with standard brakes just before I received this new one and the difference in brake performance is large.
So I believe that CC brake system on the F430 will be better than the standard system.
One other reason which is not very important the large discs look much nicer and more aggressive ;)

SL65 never came with CC brakes.
In fact, I do not think Mercedes offers CC brakes as an option (other than the SLR).

    I think you are mistaken.
Here is one of the details of the SL55 AMG performance package taken from the AMG website http://www.mercedes-amg.com/ :
"Internally ventilated composite brake discs measuring 390 x 36mm on the front axle"

This is a picture of the brakes on my 2007 SL55 AMG which includes the composite disc brakes.

Big breaks, but I thought in 2007 it became a SL63AMG?

The 63 engine is the naturally aspirated engine and was used on all 2007 AMG models except the SL, S and C class.
It is slightly weaker than the 55 AMG engine.
63 AMG engine: HP: 514, Torque: 630 NM
55 AMG engine: HP: 517, Torque: 720 NM

Those look like regular brakes to me -- the Ceramic Composite brakes don't have a smooth metal look to them. The CC looks like something that just came out of a kiln.... :)
