Has anyone actually sold their car on ebay? Just wondering if it's a waste of time to put a decent car on ebay other than to provide entertainment for a bunch of people who can't afford it but still want to bid $20k thinking they might actually get it :")

Actually, what you would get from Ebay is a lot of exposure resulting in phone calls from serious people that can afford Ferraris. Most of the ones who bid however, are just as you explained it... people who think they can buy a Ferrari for 20K.

By the way, your car looks awsome Ben!!

I sold a 308 and a 348 off of ebay, but not by bidders. Deals were cut and the auctions ended. It's advertising and nothing more.

+1----I listed my 328 on Ebay not thinking it would sell on there. I received about 7 phone calls from dealers looking to buy the car..

Kind of what I was thinking.. I guess it's good advertising for $40. I also put a quick post in the sticky thread for for sale listings.. but then again everyone reading this forum HAS a Ferrari LOL

I bought my Ferrari off of ebay, but only after the auction ended. I called him up and made him an offer (accepted, of course). So ebay is useful even if no one bids above your reserve.

The only really annoying thing is all of the dealer phone call you'll get.

I sold my 348 on Ebay and it sold to the bidder that bid on the car. It had a blown motor though so the car went cheap to a DIY'er. I found my 348 spider on Ebay also, although we struck a deal after the auction ended twice...

Guess it works ok in the US since the market is so big overseas.

Here in this country with 8 million ppl it would not work. Guess ppl from the US would not be interested to buy a car here even if it was cheaper ( which it probably wouldn´t be anyway).

We sell and buy F-cars on internet but not the auktion way.

I bought mine after seeing an ad on internet.
