I am looking to buy a 488 and it seems like mostly it’s all dealers selling them. I really haven’t seen many at all that are for sale privately.

My concern after seeing this is if I go to sell it with no intentions of trading it. I am going to have a difficult time doing a private sale or the dealer is going to want to steal it. I could be wrong but would like to have an exit plan before entering.

    Thanks

Like airplanes, exotic cars are often traded through a broker instead of a dealer or private sale and may never show up in an advertisement.

Any links to a couple good brokers for the buying side of things?

check the classified's here. Some of the better sources of used Ferrari's are active there. Do your research as always when spending six figures on a depreciating machine.

One can sell a used ferrari without trading up. Many, if not most, of the cars listed at the official Ferrari stores are on consignment (not purchased by the store or received via a trade in). And there are plenty of good independent sellers of used ferraris that can help you (see my earlier post). You are over-thinking this and making it more daunting than it is. Finding people to buy a used ferrari and people to help you sell a used ferrari is the least worrisome part of buying a used exotic car.
